Claus Sattler, Executive Director, Broadcast Mobile Convergence ForumProf. Dr. Claus Sattler studied Computer Sciences. He worked 17 years in a scientific institute developing OSI network software. From 1991 – 2003 he was with Eutelis Consult GmbH in Ratingen, a consultancy for telecommunications and value-added services, during the last years as a managing director. From May 2003 until September 2004 he worked as the Broadcast_Mobile_Convergence project manager in Berlin, managing the first worldwide DVB-H pilot over a public broadcast network. Now he is working as the Executive Director of the bmcoforum, an international industrial relations activity to accompany and support the development of an open market environment for mobile broadcast services.
Gunnar Garfors,Director of Development, NRKGunnar Garfors is CEO of Norwegian Mobile TV Corporation (NMTV) and President of International DMB Advancement Group (IDAG) which works to promote DMB world-wide and to establish one big market for various DMB terminals. NMTV launched 6 TV channels via DMB as MiniTV in Norway in May 2009 whereas a number of countries on three continents are involved in DMB activities.
Garfors is furthermore Vice President of the Mobile Expert Group of European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and works as a consultant for Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) which he has helped achieve a leading position in the mobile sphere through i.e. live TV on mobiles, personalized advertising on mobile TV and advanced interactivity.
Gunnar Garfors holds a Master of Management Degree from Norwegian School of Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting from Falmouth College of Arts in the UK. The 34-year-old is originally a journalist and worked in various media companies in Norway and abroad before joining NRK in 2000. He regularly delivers presentations or participates in debates on conferences around the world.
Hatem Bamatraf, SVP - Network Development, DuHatem Bamatraf, SVP Network Development
With nearly 13 years of rich experience in the region's telecom industry, Hatem’s previous role was Director Network Development in Mobily KSA, where he was responsible for planning, designing and implementing the mobile network of mobily kSA.
A telecom Engineer by qualification, Hatem was earlier posted at Etisalat as Chief Engineer Mobile system and was responsible for strategizing, planning and development of mobile access network, aligned with Etisalat business plans. In his long and distinguished career as a telecom expert, Hatem’s many achievements include playing a crucial role in the remarkably successful launch of Mobily’s products and services, completing the build out and launch of Mobile network in just six months , building and leading a team to develop the mobile Access network for etisalat during the early introduction of GSM network.
Hatem Hold a bachelor degree in electrical and electronic engineering and graduated with owner degree.
Nick Grande, Managing Director, ChannelSculptor FZ-LLCNick Grande is one of MENA region’s prominent TV strategists, having worked over the past 9 years with several of the major regional media players, including ShowtimeArabia, MTV Arabia and most recently twofour54.
Based in London in the 1990s, he worked with Peter Good on the launches of MTV Base, VH-1 Classic and MTV2 on behalf of MTV Networks Europe. His first experience of the MENA TV industry was in 1999 when he joined Showtime Arabia. During seven years as Strategy Director, he was the architect of Showtime’s move from London to Dubai Media City.
During 2007, Nick worked with Dubai Holdings as Launch Director for the Arabian Television Network, launching MTV Arabia in November of that year. Building on his regional network, Nick founded ChannelSculptor FZ-LLC, a UAE-based managed service provider and consultancy, offering specialist services for television channels and channel launches.
Nick is a recognised authority on the strategic development of TV broadcasting in the MENA region, particularly in relation to Pay-TV, High Definition TV, IPTV and Mobile TV.
Sander den Hartog, CEO, MobitransAfter a corporate career with KPMG and KLM, Sander joined an Amsterdam based Venture Capital Fund backed by Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for mobile technology investments. After this Sander moved to Shanghai, China to join the Siemens and Softbank invested mobile marketing company Mobile2win as Director Business Development, before he landed in Dubai, to co-found Mobitrans, owner of Mozook.com and the largest publisher of mobile content in the Middle East and South Asia. Mobitrans wants to launch its service in at least one new emerging mobile market each month, with the aim to become the number one publisher of mobile content in the market within six months after the launch.
Stefan Schneiders, Head of Mobile TV Solutions, Nokia Siemens NetworksStefan Schneiders is supporting the business development for Mobile TV & Mobile Advertising within the Consulting and System Integration Business at Nokia Siemens Networks. He is continuing his activities as Senior Vice President for Siemens Networks, where he was responsible for the business development of Mobile Broadcast since 2005.
Before his current assignment he was COO for the international consortium PayCircle and supported the Open Mobile Alliances M-Commerce Working Group as Vice Chairman.
Stefan has an experience of more than 20 years in telecommunication industry. During the last decade, Stefan was involved in innovations of the industry like Mobile Payment, Information Security and Biometrics.
Tony Gray, Regional Business DirectorTony Gray is something of an industry veteran, having worked in telecoms and related areas for some 30 years since graduating in electronics engineering in Brighton, UK.
He held a variety of engineering and management posts up to 1990, since when he has operated as an independent consultant and interim manager. He was based in the Gulf region of the Middle East and worked on a range of mobile communications projects between 2003-2007, after which he moved back to Europe. In April 2009 he returned to live in Dubai to take up his current post of Regional Business Director on behalf of P3 networks GmbH (P3).
P3 is a fast-growing and highly regarded global player providing engineering and consulting services across the mobile communications space, and in particular to operators and regulators worldwide.

Nicolas Chevalier, Head of Product Marketing, NagravisionNicolas Chevalier is Head of Product Marketing Mobile TV at Nagravision, a Kudelski Group company.
Prior to joining Nagravision, Nicolas has handled a wide range of marketing responsibilities. He joined Orange in 2001, where he mainly developed his expertise in e-commerce and m-commerce areas (both with Orange France & Orange Group), including micro and macro payment solutions, technologies (contactless, 1 and 2D barcodes technologies, M2M) and services (video over mobile through 2,5G and 3G networks).
He has also worked several years as Internet Marketing Manager with Telecommerce, France Telecom subsidiary providing e-commerce payment solutions and as a multimedia consultant in the US.

Stuart Collingwood, VP EMEA, Sling MediaStephan Skrodzki CEO GMIT GmbH
GMIT is a component provider for digital TV, stationary and mobile. The company designs and implements software solutions for videoheadend, monitoring and interactivity. Before founding GMIT, Stephan held different management and R&Dpositions in the media and IT industry (Digital Equipment, convergenceintegrated media, contcast). He holds a masters level in computer science at the University of Karlsruhe.

Marc Zirka, Director, KPMG Al Fozan & Al SadhanMarc Zirka joined KPMG Al Fozan & Al Sadhan (KSA) in August in 2007, specifically to help establish the Telecom Advisory practice.
Marc is a Director with KPMG Al Fozan & Al Sadhan, heading the telecom team. As such he designs, develops and implements the strategic plan for the firm, seeking the most cost-effective and time-efficient manner; responsible for both the day-to-day running of his department as well as helping to develop business for the long term future of the firm.
Marc has the role to assist telecom players in Saudi Arabia, achieving Business Excellence and Operational Efficiency; he focuses on improving the performance of major economic players by using the best resources that KPMG Al Fozan & Al Sadhan can offer and by getting the needed expertise from KPMG global presence.
M. Zirka comes into his current position following many years of experience in the telecom industry.
A graduate of “Ecole Supérieure des Affaires (ESA – Beirut) and ESCP-EAP (Paris), where he achieved his MBA in 1999. He began his career in 2001 with France Telecom in Beirut, holding a position of Business Development Executive, better known as Product Manager. Later, he served as Marketing Manager for Eagle Telecom, a distributor of Nokia handsets in Africa. While at Eagle Telecom, he helped developing a retail franchise concept in Sub-Sahara Africa, as well as lead the marketing initiatives in several African countries.
In 2005, he was hired by Wataniya Telecom in Kuwait. He served the company as a Manager for Data Services and launched the HSDPA services.

Cees Von Dok, Executive Creative Director, frog DesignCees van Dok works as Executive Creative Director at frog design, one of the major innovators in the telecommunication sector. In his role, Cees is responsible for the creative direction and project management of frog design’s work throughout Europe, including Digital Media Design, Product Design, and Technology, helping leading companies to create and bring to market meaningful products, services, and experiences.
Cees has over twelve years of experience in the software industry and is a renowned UX expert. Prior to joining frog design, he worked for six years at Microsoft in Redmond, Washington, where he worked as product designer on the consumer software applications MSN Messenger and MSN Explorer. In 2003, he moved on to become design manager in the Microsoft Windows User Experience design team, focusing primarily on concept development and product design of Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7. Before Microsoft he worked at iMedia, a Dutch interaction design agency that serves the leading Dutch telephone operator, KPN Telecom, among others.
